Get fit for winter! 25-26 October 2008 - Tiso Glasgow Outdoor Experience has once again got an exciting winter weekend lined up for all outdoor enthusiasts this October. There’s fun, help and advice for all the families outdoor activites. So why not make a weekend of it!

Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival - Held annually in October, the EMFF is now a well established festival in the events calendar and growing each year. Currently located at the George Square Lecture Theatre it attracts people from all over the UK to see top speakers, exciting international films and great exhibitions. Also hosts a 'Best of the Fest' mini festival at Tiso Glasgow Outdoor Experience each March.

Dundee Mountain Film Festival - One of the UKs longest running film festivals the DMFF has strong links with the Banff Mountain Film Festival and shows a wide range of international films as well as attracting world famous speakers.

Scottish Adventure Race Series - Including the Wan Dae events - 5 or 8 hours of mountain biking, kayaking and running by navigating to as many points as you can, for pairs and teams of three or four.

MCofS Youth Climbing Series 2008 - Tiso are delighted to support the MCofS Youth Climbing Series 2008. A series of three friendly, inexpensive competitions for youngsters at local climbing walls, followed by a grand final where the top three from each category in each region compete for the British crown.

Caledonian Challenge - The Caledonian Challenge is perhaps the most challenging, rewarding and fastest-growing outdoor endurance event of its’ kind. Walking 54 miles of the West Highland Way in under 24 hours is no mean feat! Shop online at tiso.com for your kit.

Across Ross Walk - A 55 mile classic charity walk through some of the Scottish Highlands' most remote scenery. Day 1 kicks off in Ullapool on the west coast of Scotland and heads east along Glen Achall and the remote Strath Mulzie. Walkers will camp en-route 1 mile from the famous Croich Church, where the army will have prepared a nutritious supper for all to indulge. Day 2 follows the beautiful Glen Calvie to Diebidale and onward to Strathrusdale, entirely off-road, before picking up the final leg to Dalmore Distillery on the east coast for a well earned dram.

The Great Drumtochty Challenge - The Great Drumtochty Challenge is a one day mountain bike orienteering competition which was started in 1998 by the Brechin Cycle Club and is traditionally held in May or June.

Cliffhanger - The UK’s largest outdoor outdoor-pursuits festival held annually in July over 2 days in Sheffield featuring The British Bouldering Championships, Orienteering Races, Mountain Biking, Come-And-Try-It Climbing Walls, A Guinness World Record Dyno Competition, Demonstration Events, Scuba Diving, Children’s rides, music and much more.
