The Glenmore Lodge Dry Tooling Fest at the beginning of December turned out to be a cracker of a weekend. Dave MacLeod, Lucy Creamer and Jon Jones all delivered workshops and got their students warmed up to enter the competition.

Scott Muir won the men's event by virtue of being the only man to do all the problems nearly clean. The mere mortals had a great time trying! Nicky Diggins won the veteran ladies and there were joint winners for the women's event with Anna Carrie and Lucy. If there had been a family prize then it would have gone to the Addisons; dad Jimmy won the vet men's and Steve and Nikki came first and second in the juniors. What a team!

There were about 70 enthusiasts there for Dave's lecture which finished with everyone going to the bar for lots of prizes donated by the event sponsors - Scarpa, Lyon Equipment, Tiso and Marmot. A few beverages were in order to celebrate the beginning of Glenmore Lodge's 60th anniversary with such a successful event.

There were also a few slackers on the slack line and some brilliant attempts at pull-ups. Top score on that was 16 - apart from Dave MacLeod who did 26 (and wasn't feeling well)!
