Tiso at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho
The new Tiso shop at EICA, Ratho re-opened on Tuesday 18th December. Although the refitted store is actually slightly smaller than it was, due to the new wall layout it has more space for gear than before.
The main features are bespoke Black Diamond, PetzlCharlet, Edelrid and Scarpa areas. These are complemented by other top brands giving a climbing kit offering that is without doubt the best in Scotland in the best indoor facility in the world. Other big brands include clothing from Moon and Prana plus rock shoes from Scarpa, Boreal, 5.10, Evolv, Sportiva and Red Chili.
The climbing wall to test rock shoes will be built after Christmas but you can already test your new harness in the harness hanging area and belay devices and ascenders/descenders can also be demonstrated in situ.
Our staff are fully trained and active climbers, ensuring you get the best advice and the best gear.
If you just want to try before you buy we hire all necessary equipment for use in the climbing arena. The store will also soon take delivery of an ice screw sharpening machine.
