Macpac is a group of people who design and test high performance outdoor gear. We are passionate outdoor enthusiasts who live, work and play in New Zealand’s South Island. Our environment is challenging – unpredictable weather, dense rugged bush and mountains that demand respect. This shapes our approach. We design and build fit-for-purpose gear that you can depend on out there.

- Macpac Hemisphere Tent
- This ‘home away from home’ is a four-person, all-season favourite. Trusted at Everest base camp, the six pole, geodesic freestanding design creates a spacious shelter. Large double doors and vestibules create a sheltered entry for cooking and gear storage. The Hemisphere also has excellent ventilation, using low side venting and high dual extractor vents. Because New Zealand has record wind speeds, our designs are especially stable and rainproof. You’ll see this thinking behind our seam-sealed tub floors and UV30™ fabric. This premium fly fabric stands up to intense sunlight just as well as wet, windy weather.
