D.M.M. The Fly Ice Axe: An all-rounder in the traditional sense, The Fly is an ideal Scottish axe at a very affordable price. It is tough and reliable and will cope equally with Grade II on Ben Nevis and Grade VII in Coire an t-Sneachda. The hammer and adze are shaped for jamming/torquing and the shaft and burly pick are both T-rated. It will perform well enough on continental ice but the shape and pick diameter are really more suited to this county. Revolver Screwgate Karabiner: This karabiner features a full range of locking mechanisms - Screwgate, Quicklock and Locksafe - and also comes with a keylock nose so that it does not snag on ropes or gear.
