- The Alpine Shield by Wild Country is a revolutionary helmet, offering 2 helmets for the price of one, with double the effectiveness. There is an outer shield that sits proud of the high performance EPS inner, ensuring that if any rock or ice fall is taken in its stride. The inner of the helmet can be worn by itself, providing an extremely lightweight helmet for rock climbing. The protective covering can be easily and quickly attached, offering superior protection from larger rocks and ice fall. If the outer takes a hit, instead of the helmet being deemed unusable (as with most current styles of helmets), the protective cover can simply be removed and replaced.
