The production of quality mountain footwear began with Giuseppe Zamberlan
in 1929 and was continued by his son, Emilio. Nowadays the third generation
of the family is actively involved in the family business, from production
and testing to sales.
The company is situated at the foot of the Piccole Dolomiti, an ideal testing
ground for new products. It was Giuseppe Zamberlan, the Grandfather, who started
work as a shoemaker at the end of The Great War. Giuseppe made the move from
repairing to manufacturing footwear because of his great passion for the mountains
and also out of necessity. He made shoes and boots first for himself and then for
his friends who shared his great love of the mountains around them.
The geographical setting and the particular characteristics of the area means
that locals all grow up with a love for mountain hikes and excursions.
Many world famous mountaineers in fact do come to practice at the Piccole Dolomiti.
