The Impact GTX by Mammut is a supple all-terrain hiking boot designed for extended trekking. The fine-grade velour leather and abrasion-resistant textile upper with protective Liquid Rubber reinforcements offers perfect fit, safety and comfort. The Mammut®-designed vibram® Tec Hiking sole with its sharp-edge, coarse-lugged Capricorn Grip profile offers superb grip on narrow ridges and ledges. The sole’s design was inspired by the sickle-shaped hoof of the surefooted ibex mountain goat. The Climbing Zone at the tip reinforces the sole’s climbing pedigree, while the GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort Footwear membrane guarantees the boot’s waterproof credentials.

  • The patented Mammut® sole concept features customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting). This system is based on the three functionalities of support, damping and climate control. Different footbeds accentuate different functionalities – up to two at the same time. The footbed used depends on the main activity for which the boot is designed
  • The Capricorn Grip technical hiking sole developed in collaboration with Vibram® features patented Mammut® Rolling Concept technology and produces the highest grip on fine outcrops and edges. Modelled on the ibex, which demonstrates top climbing performance with its sickle-shaped hoof.
