- The Manta is Scarpa's new and improved Manta, offering a lighterweight boot (approximately 10% lighter) than it's predecessor. The Manta is perfectly suited for 4 season walking, UK winter climbs, 'easier' alpine climbs, and glacier walking/trekking. The Manta will take a full step in crampon (B2 recommended) . The fit of this Manta has been improved with more trials and tests to perfect the last, and the new pro-fibre mid sole gives slightly more flex, but still offers enough rigidity for crampon use.

And uses a new concept in construction; the Scarpa Ergo Fit System which allows maximum ankle mobility (only in the right directions) for climbing sensitivity, and also giving the support necessary for travelling on steep terrain. The new womens specific Total Traction PX sole unit allows enough flex for long approaches to be completed comfortably but, thanks to the Pro Fibre insole, stiff enough for Crampomatic crampons for climbing.
