Product Overview

The Teko Eco Merino light hiking stripe sock is distinguished in its manufacture by the use of Ozone in the shrink resistant processing of the wool, as opposed to the environmentally damaging Chlorine traditionally used today. The performance advantage to Ozone processing is linked to the fact that the Ozone does not strip the wool of its natural oils like the more caustic Chlorine process. As a result, the socks have an incredibly soft hand and superior water repellency.

Teko describe their socks as the "Best Socks ON the Planet, Best Socks FOR the Planet"
Tek began its journey with the belief that making high performance outdoor products didn’t have to leave a heavy impact on our Ecology. Using only high performance fibers and sound manufacturing processes, Teko wanted to ensure their products, down to the final packaging, would be safe for the environment. Their product line features environmentally sound materials, such as Organic Cotton, Ecopoly recycled polyester and EcoWash Merino Wool. Teko buys wind energy credits to ensure that 100% of the electricity use in manufacturing and operations get put back into the energy grid from clean, sustainable American Wind.
