The Store

For over thirty years Tiso in Rose Street, Edinburgh has been providing outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world with the widest range of outdoor equipment available in Scotland’s capital city.  Situated only five minutes walk from the historical Waverley Train Station at the West end of Rose Street.

Located on four floors the store is a mecca for anybody with a love of the outdoors who is looking for the finest equipment and most knowledgeable staff to help them get the most from their adventures.

Ground Floor; As it’s still winter, at the moment you will find our huge range of hats and gloves for every occasion from mountaineering, skiing, hillwalking to a simple commute. Socks to keep your feet toasty as well as our range of non-slip shoes spikes to keep you on your feet! Also based on the ground floor is our travel department featuring a wide range of accessories such as Eagle Creak packing cubes and insect reppelants from Lifeventure.

First Floor; On this newly refurbished floor you will find the widest range of women’s outdoor clothing anywhere in Edinburgh.  With brands such as Berghaus, The North Face, Haglofs, Mammut, Montane, Rab, Paramo, Didricksons and Icebreaker to name but a few you will certainly manage to equip yourself well on this floor.  The children’s department is on this floor which includes a wide range of footwear and clothing for children.

You will also find Blues the Ski Shop here.  Blues are a specialist professional ski shop and have been serving Scottish Skiers for over 30 Years.  Their range of products include some of the world's top brands of ski equipment, skiwear and essential accessories, and are easy to find on the first floor of Tiso Rose St store.

Second Floor; This vast floor of over 3,000 square feet offers all the exceptional brands you have come to expect from Tiso.  Our technical presence this year is better than ever before and be sure to look at the new summer ranges from Rab, Montane, Mammut, Berghaus and The North Face.

Our second floor also features our shoe department, with one of the widest ranges of outdoor shoes anywhere in Scotland. We have ranges from Merrell, The North Face, Haglofs, Zamberlan and Scarpa. We also have a selection of walking sandles

RST 3rd Floor1.JPG Third Floor; The ultimate outdoor floor! It’s a bold claim but one in which we firmly believe. The range of equipment on this floor has to be seen to be believed. We have a new Osprey area with a huge range of packs for all your needs. We are an Osprey Custom Moulding Certified dealer, alowing us to heat mould their hipbelts to get you the perfect fitting pack. The bootroom has a range with over 80 models to choose from, a dedicated Scarpa area and the knowledgeable staff on hand to help you choose the right model.

Our extensive tent range includes the largest range of Hilleberg tents in Scotland, along with speicalist lightweight tents from Terra Nova and family camping from Vango. The navigation equipment is located on the top floor with Compasses from Silva, Handheld GPS devices from Garmin, Satmap and Memory Map and a large range of maps from Harveys and the O.S. The climbing department is also based on the top floor. This floor is the outdoor enthusiast floor and we look forward to helping you get the most from your experiences.  If you are visiting Scotland from overseas please call in and speak to one of my colleagues who will almost certainly be able to give you the information you need to maximise your visit to our wonderful country. Customer Services
The Customer Service Department is on the second floor where you will find Ewan or Neil who are able to answer all your queries whether they are related to ordering that ‘special’ piece of equipment, warranty claims, sourcing stock from other stores, equipment repairs or anything else you can think of! Our staff have a wealth of experience both selling and using the equipment we stock.  With keen walkers who have completed the Munros, climbers, mountainbikers and travel experts we are confident we can give you the best advice on the gear we stock.

If you’ve got more time to spare then be sure to visit the Pentland Hills where short walks to trips over 30kms are available and all just a twenty minute bus journey from the city centre.  This guide will give you more than enough inspiration!
