The Store
Tiso Edinburgh Outdoor Experience has brought to the east coast of Scotland a revolutionary concept in terms of a unique retail experience. We have applied everything we have learnt over the last forty-nine years to make this the ultimate shopping environment for our customers.
On entering the store you will be met with an extensive range of outdoor clothing, featuring premium brands such as The North Face, Haglofs, Icebreaker , Rab, Berghaus, Mtn Equipment, Marmot and Columbia.
Next, is our distinguished range of family, wild and mountain camping tents and accessories. You will see a number of tents pitched in store but if you can’t see the one you’re interested in please ask. We have the space available and knowledgeable staff keen to give you a demonstration.
You won’t fail to spot our boot test path surrounding a wide selection of boots designed for all types of end use, from dog walkers to back packers, and Munro baggers to Mountaineers. And separate from that is our footwear department featuring trail shoes and sandals. One of our well trained footwear specialists will be on hand to help you find exactly what you’re after.
As you move on through the bootroom you will come to our dedicated travel area offering all you could need for your next trip. Here you will also find daypacs and rucsacs alongside a steep bridge specially designed to test the fit of your rucsac.
Up on the mezzanine is a dedicated watersports department for sailing and leisure watersports.
And of course we still have our climbing department for all your vertical endeavors!

In order to deliver this, an inspiring array of speakers have been chosen who are guaranteed to provide an entertaining night out! All the speakers have spent many years in the mountains and will draw upon their own experiences to illustrate hard lessons learnt.
Each presentation will last approx 45 minutes and there will be opportunity at the end of each evening for any questions. Whether you are a hardened climber, or up in the Highlands for your first winter experience, you can ensure a good night out and learn something new.
