Patagonia designed the Men's Nano-Air® Hoody to be worn for all of your alpine adventures, whether that be intense winter climbing, or trekking to a Himalyan base camp. Ideal for stop and go activities on cold climates, this synthetic filled jacket removes the need for wasting time constantly adding and removing layers. The FullRange™ insulation expells heat during heavy exercise, but will keep you warm when stationary.
The outer shell will shed light rain and snow, thanks to the DWR (durable water repellent) finish. This means you won't get weighed down by a soggy jacket in changing weather conditions. The other shell is durable enough to sustain rock abrasion climbers will face on a regular basis.
The hood is snug but stretchy, which can accommodate low profile helmets, but prioritises keeping your head warm above all. Climbers will also love the mechanical stretch, which allows for complete freedom of movement. The close, sculptured fit is comfortable, with enough space for layering underneath. This is complimented by the variable conditions cuffs, which have sleek, stretch-knit inserts that allow you to push up your sleeves with ease.
The two hand warmer pockets are above harness level, making them easily accessible when belaying, and great for storing a smartphone and other essentials. The front zipper has a zipper garage to protect your chin. When the temperature drops when belaying or stationary, throw on a lightweight hardhsell and the warmth properties of the Nano-Air Hoody will be accelerated.
As with all Patagonia pieces, sustainability is at the forefront with the Nano-Air Hoody. The shell and lining is 87% recycled, and the insulation is 40% recycled. It is also Fair Trade Certified™, meaning the people who manufacture this jacket were paid a premium wage for their work.
