Sorry this item is out of stock! But maybe there is something new from Specialized that will tempt you...
When Specialized brought out the Turbo Levo, they revolutionised the electric mountain bike industry. Before, they were heavy and slow with little to offer the hardcore riders, but today give anyone a go on the Turbo Levo and their opinion on e-bikes will change instantly.
The Levo is inspired by the Stumpjumper - one of the best trail bikes you can ride - so already you know what it's made for. It's not cheating. It enhances your ride to let you go further, get more riding in and lets you focus on trail skills rather than whether you have the energy to keep going.
After five years of development, the Turbo Levo 2021 has been refined. Having been inspired by the Stumpy, the geometry has a sturdy lightweight to stiffness ratio so keeps it lively and responsive even with the motor and battery weight. It's not a clone of the Stumpy though - it's slightly slacker with a low bottom bracket to give extra control and keeps the bike fast on the downhills especially with 160mm of front travel.
The frame itself features an M5 alloy front and rear-end with an asymmetrical design with reliable Rockshox 35 Silver TK forks. The custom Specialized 2.1 motor represents the pinnacle of e-bike motor technology. The new motor is more efficient, 15% smaller, and 11% lighter than its predecessor. It has many other features that no other e-bike can touch, like instant engagement, fantastic heat management, a double freewheel design that disengages the gear box when you hit top speed, and silent, smooth, and consistent output—even at max power.
The Levo’s Turbo Connect Unit (or “TCU”) is more than an “On-Off” button—it’s the brains of the bike. The TCU shows your battery level and power-assist mode. It also communicates, via ANT+/Bluetooth®, with our optional handlebar display to display even more information about your day’s ride. This Turbo’s new Specialized M2-series battery features a 500Wh capacity. And, of course, still seamlessly integrated inside the frame and is easily removable, too.
Not only did Specialized reinvigorate and revolutionise the e-MTB industry, but they've kept the standards extremely high.
