About The Fuel EX:
A true quiver-killer, the Fuel EX can turn it's hand to anything, from all day epics to the most technical of trails.
130mm of efficient rear wheel travel is mated to a 140mm fork and 29" wheels (or 27.5" for XS/S sizes). Combined with a long reach, slack head tube and steep seat tube, you've got a bang-up-to-date trail bike with all the ability of an enduro weapon. The three position Re:Aktiv rear shock, in conjunction with the active yet supportive suspension design, allows you to climb efficiently then open up for maximum control on the descents. It all adds up to a chassis that's at home on every off road trail, so you can ride everywhere with confidence.
The EX 7 features a SRAM NX Eagle 1x12 speed groupset. With a wide ranging 11-50 tooth cassette, clutch equipped rear mech and great chain retention, it's a solid system for all off road riding. Positive shifting and minimal maintenance make this a good option for regular riding. Paired with Shimano's powerful hydraulic disc brakes, you get plenty of options for speeding up, and plenty of power for slowing right down.
29" wheels with large volume tyres provide tons of grip with minimal drag, plus rims and tyres are tubeless ready for easy conversion. The chunky 2.6" front tyre minimised small trail debris and allows you to concentrate on the big obstacles while the rear 2.6" tracks well with less weight and lower drag. It's a great combo for all round riding.
Bontrager's own finishing kit is a proven quantity with a wide 750mm bar and short stem providing great control in rough terrain, plus a 150mm travel dropper post. This is easy to use and reliable, with the handlebar mounted control making saddle positioning on the fly a breeze.
The Fuel EX is that bike that does everything well. If you need one bike to do it all, you've found it.
