About The Hoxton:
Imagine a bike that wasn't just easy to pedal, but actively helped push you along. A bike that included a motor but that didn't add tons of weight. A bike that amplified your own input and allowed you to really enjoy cycling. This is the Hoxton.
The heart of the Hoxton is the Fazua motor. This electric engine is so sleek you'd barely know it was there. The whole system fits neatly in the downtube and assists your pedalling by up to 400W - to put that in perspective, that's almost another person riding on the same bike! The battery also fits in the downtube and at 250WH could take you up to 50km on a single charge. The handlebar mounted remote allows you to switch between power modes to obtain the best balance of speed to distance from your battery, and if you choose no assistance, the whole system adds less than 5kg to the weight of your bike.
Like most e-bikes, the motor amplifies your pedalling - there's no twist-and-go throttle here - so the Hoxton is a super option for anyone looking to commute in a bit of comfort whilst still getting exercise, or explore further with a little help. The rest of the bike is designed around this sort of riding featuring a light aluminium frame with a relaxed geometry and intuitive handling. Whether you're riding in traffic or on country lanes, the Hoxton is a joy to ride. Wide trye clearance means plenty of room for mudguards, racks and other accessories too.
Wide 47c tyres have considerably more volume than typical hybrid style tyres. This has several benefits including greater comfort on rough roads, enhanced grip and better puncture protection. A single ring drivetrain with 11 rear gears is simple to operate, reliable and a perfect match for the performance of the Hoxton. Hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled stopping power in all conditions while Whyte's own finishing kit complete this nippy and comfortable setup.
So, it's an electric bike. What's so special about it? The Hoxton's combination of lightweight motor and nippy hybrid bike really come together to create a performance bike accessible for everyone. It's one of few e-bikes you could ride happily without using the motor, and this makes it a super choice for commuting and riding further afield. In short, it's you riding, but on a really good day.
