Cannondale Synapse 1 - Stealth Grey

The Synapse is an alloy endurance bike designed for comfort and speed on long rides. It allows you to take on any road with a dropped seat stay frame that's engineered to flex in ways that improve vibration damping but do not affect power transfer. Carbon fibre is used in the fork to deliver precise steering and reduce fatiguing "road buzz" at the handlebar. However, the Synapse isn't just fast and comfy, it's practical too. If you want to use it for winter training or commuting, then you're in luck because the frame has concealed mounts for full-length mudguards and a rear pannier rack. It's also compatible with Cannondale's SmartSense radar and lighting system for if you want to maximise your visibility on the road.

All Synapse models are equipped with disc brakes. In the case of the Synapse 1, these are Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes which kick out tons of stopping power, even in the wet, and they require next to no maintenance. The drivetrain also comes from Shimano's 105 groupset, which means 2x11 gearing, smooth shifts and excellent reliability. The 50/34 chainset combined with an 11-34 cassette means you'll never run out of gears for rocking up steep climbs or grinding into a savage headwind. The stock tyres 30mm Vittoria Zaffiro Pros but you can fit up to 32mm rubber for even more road-smoothing luxury. Most importantly, a quality Fizik Aliante Delta saddle ensures miles and miles of niggle free comfort on those massive endurance epics.
