    STORE OPENINGS

We are delighted to announce our Alpine Bikes stores in Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Inverness will be opening as of Thursday 30th April. Due to ongoing social distancing restrictions we have temporary adapted our business and made changes to the way we work. We ask that all customers adhere to the following measures which will be prominently displayed around our open stores. These measures have been put in place to protect you and our team members.

The following stores will be open from Thursday 30th April. Opening hours for all stores are 10AM to 4PM, Monday to Sunday:

    • •Alpine Bikes Aberdeen, Holburn Street
    • •Alpine Bikes Edinburgh, Hamilton Place
    • •Alpine Bikes Inverness, Henderson Road*

    Store Guidelines:

    • •Please respect and follow Government social distancing policy. A distance of 2m should be kept between all staff and customers at all times.
    • •We are restricting our visitors to a maximum of two customers in the store at any one time. Until further notice we will operate a locked door with a ‘one customer in and one customer out’ policy. Please wait outside the store until you are directed in by a member of our team.
    • •Please queue in an orderly fashion outside the store while giving other customers the requisite 2m spacing.
    • •The shop floor will not be fully accessible to the general public – please respect the floor taping and signage put in place – they are there to allow us to operate a safe environment.
    • •We request that in all cases the purchasing customer enters the store alone.
    • •Our stores will not accept cash payments. Please use contactless when applicable. From 1st April contactless payments can be made up to £45.
    • •Any orders taken in store will require full payment.
    • •*The Alpine Bikes Inverness store is located within the Tiso Inverness store. Only the cycling area of the shop will be open to customers.

    Additions:

    • •We will not be offering finance as a payment option in store until further notice.
    • •Cycle to Work transactions can be made over the phone, please call your local branch for further information.
    • •Test rides will not be available during this period.
    • •Clothing, helmets and shoes can be purchased but cannot be handled or tried on. A colleague will pick and bag specific items for you as directed before taking payment and handing the bag to you – your receipt will be placed in the bag. Our changing rooms will be closed.
    • •Although a purchase during your visit is not compulsory, we are not open to customers wishing to simply browse our products.

    Servicing & Repairs:

    • •Our service centres are not in operation during this period. We will be unable to carry out any repairs at any time during this period.
    • •Warranty claims will not be accepted during this period.
    • •We will be suspending our free 6-week bike service offer with all bike purchases during this period. This offer will return once normal trading conditions resume.

    Returns Policy:

    A FEW NOTES

Store Openings: In line with government restrictions, we plan to open our Alpine Bikes stores in Hamilton Place, Edinburgh, Holburn Street, Aberdeen, and inside our Tiso Inverness store very soon. Recently, cycling has become an essential mode of transport and a key form of exercise for many. We've served the Scottish cycling community for over 30 years and with these stores and our online operation, we aim to support every cyclist in this challenging time.

Deliveries: We continue to work hard with staff, suppliers and partners to apply social distancing guidelines and PPE to all relevant parts of our business. This means that some deliveries will take slightly longer than usual to arrive. We apologise for the inconvenience and ask you to bear with us while we adjust to the current situation. Currently, most items will be dispatched within 2 working days, with bikes up to 10 working days.

Returns: Whilst our online operation has re-started, our warehouse remains closed and so we cannot accept any returns at this point in time. For all orders placed online, we will extend the returns period to 2 weeks beyond the relaxation of lockdown restrictions which will enable our warehouse to open. All customers will be informed via email when we can accept returns, and we will also highlight on our social media channels.

Bikes: The current crisis has seen an exponential growth in demand for bikes. While our full range of bikes is now available online, and we are working to dispatch these as quickly as possible, please be aware it can take up to 10 working days for delivery. This is due to both the demand and ensuring every bike is built and tuned to our own high standards. When your bike arrives it will require minimal assembly and be ready to ride within minutes.

For any enquiries regarding any of the above topics, please contact help@tiso.co.uk.

    Dear Valued Customer

We hope this finds you and your families safe and well - we know this is an incredibly difficult and worrying time for all of us.

As you know we remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions on non essential business activity. Following the anticipated confirmation yesterday that the ‘lockdown’ will continue for at least a further three weeks we regret that at this stage we are unable to confirm when we will be in a position to reopen. We remain hopeful that a partial relaxing of the restrictions in the near future will allow us to begin serving you again soon.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for your patience, understanding and support. On behalf of all at Tiso, Alpine Bikes, Blues Ski and George Fisher we greatly appreciate your loyalty and look forward to sharing stories and images of adventure via Facebook and Instagram until we can once again share our love of the outdoors.

Finally we know we count many frontline workers amongst our valued customer community - to them we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their bravery and service.

While our stores are closed you can keep in touch with updates and changes via our website www.tiso.co.uk or via our social media channels on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter @TisoOnline.

With best wishes to you all,

    Chris Tiso

To the Tiso, Alpine Bikes, Blues Ski and George Fisher communities.

In light of the ever-evolving Covid-19 situation, I wish to personally reach out to reassure you that Tiso Group has the health and wellbeing of our staff, valued customers and trusted suppliers very much front of mind at this difficult time.

We are closely following the latest guidance from Government and Health Protection Scotland (HPS). While some staff are self-isolating as a precautionary measure, I am pleased to advise that across our business, we currently have no confirmed cases of the virus.

Our stores remain open at this time with additional health and safety measures in place. This includes regular cleansing of high footfall areas and the availability of anti-bacterial hand gels on counters.

It is a fast-moving situation and we will certainly keep you fully informed should we need to temporarily close our physical stores in light of further advice from Government. Of course, we hope to remain open for business at tiso.com and georgefisher.co.uk where customers from throughout the outdoor communities can shop and raise spirits by sharing inspirational stories.

As a valued member of our community, I really appreciate your support at this challenging time, and I will be in touch with further news as soon as it becomes available.

Stay safe and keep in touch.

    Yours

    Chris Tiso

    CEO Tiso Group.
