The Fauna Pioneer is a true all-mountain ski that can take you anywhere you want to go in-resort or out in the backcountry. At 104mm underfoot it's ideally suited to soft snow but you can still tip them on edge easily carve turns on piste. It lives up to its "freetouring" advertising too, with a weight of only 1700g per ski, they can easily take you on big human-powered days into the back of beyond. When it comes to pointing them downhill, that low swing weight along with generous tip and tail camber means you can really whip them around when you're in the steeps or dodging trees.
