The more you explore, the more you learn and develop. The first technical backpack was created in the basement of Greg Lowe’s parents’ house in Utah in 1967 and it’s been leading the way for technical backpack design ever since
Through continued development, with a keen eye for detail and inspiration from the alpine routes, the ascent range is created from expertise. Made for the mountains and packed with 50 years of knowledge and experience, the new range ensures you’re ready to face any vertical challenge
The pack was designed for climbing - it had a flexible internal frame, sternum strap and side compression. The new design kept the pack stable, supportive and lightweight. All modern, internal framed packs are a descendant of the Lowe Alpine 'Expedition' pack.
The Alpine Ascent is perfect for all year round use. With ice axe attachment system and glove friendly buckles the Alpine Ascent can cope with wintery conditions, however its lightweightness also makes it ideal for long summer days in the mountains. The moulded back system is supportive, has grip panels and helps keep the load stable and comfortable on your back.
Comfortable and secure, the Alpine Ascent ND makes the perfect backpack to take on long mountain climbs, both in summer and winter. With the ability to expand to 48 litres, it means you should have room for everything you need plus extra. The moulded back system ensures comfort, grip and stability all day long.
