We are currently looking for a confident, service driven and commercially aware Deputy Manager to play an active role within the management team of our Aberdeen store.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of team leadership including delegation, prioritisation and people management skills and the ability to inspire staff towards providing consistently high levels of customer service.

Ideally, candidates will have bike industry knowledge, be proactive, be willing to run the store in the absence of the Shop Manager and having a Cytech qualification would also be an advantage. You will have to adopt a flexible approach towards working hours whilst operating as Deputy Manager within the store and you will also have a clear understanding of stock management and retail merchandising.

Tiso Aviemore, the technical flag ship store within the business, will be opening its doors in Spring 2018.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanic to work in our Alpine Bikes concession within the Tiso Aviemore store.

The successful candidate will have experience working in the bike industry and will ideally be qualified to Cytech Level 2 or similar

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The assembly of new bikes
  • Identifying faults, damage and wear
  • Carrying out minor repairs e.g. repairing punctures
  • Repairing/replacing damaged or worn-out components
  • Wheel truing/building
  • Carrying out routine services and safety checks
  • Cleaning, degreasing and lubricating bicycles and components
  • Advising customers on repairs
  • Estimating costs (labour and parts) and providing customer quotes
  • Booking in bikes for repairs etc
  • Dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice
  • Liaising with suppliers and dealers

We are currently looking to recruit a Supervisor to work in our Blues the Ski Shop concession within the Tiso Aviemore store.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the management team of the newest Tiso store, situated in one of the most exciting outdoor environments in the UK

As the Blues the Ski Shop Supervisor, you will be working as part of the in-store management team assisting with the day to day running of the store, striving towards ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided at all times.

You will be responsible for the Blues element of the store during the main winter trading period and be operating as a Supervisor throughout the store where determined by store needs during the summer months.

The successful candidate will be an experienced skier, have good technical product knowledge and boot fitting experience and have previous retail experience, preferably at supervisor/senior sales level. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise your workload, be able to lead and motivate a team and delegate tasks to an agreed time scale. As Supervisor you will also be a key holder for the store and be responsible for the safe opening and closing of the store.

You will also have hands-on experience of bike mechanics and a keen participatory interest in cycling. A Cytech or Velotech qualification is desirable but not essential.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise your workload, be able to lead and motivate a team and delegate tasks to an agreed time scale. As Supervisor you will also be a key holder for the store and be responsible for the safe opening and closing of the store.

You will have the experience and proven ability to manage the store during Store Manager holidays.

An experienced retailer with a proven record of success, you will report to one of the Group Retail General Managers. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Sales Driving. You will be competent in the attainment and management of retail KPIs including Sale, Conversion, ATV and IPC
  • Customer Service. You will set the standard in a customer-focused retail environment
  • Retail Standards. You will have impeccable retail standards and be able to execute VM accurately and in-line with company protocols
  • Staff Management. You will have a demonstrable record of team management encompassing leadership, staff development and motivation
  • Relationship Management. You will be responsible for building commercially important local networking and the development and execution of value-adding Local Marketing
  • Promotional Activity.  You will be responsible for the accurate execution and commercial success of Company promotional activities including in-season activity and seasonal sale.
  • Budgetary Control. You will have an understanding of budgetary management including staffing costs, local marketing spending
