Our Alpine Bikes store within the Tiso Perth Outdoor Experience store is looking to recruit Cycle Mechanic to join the team in the busy workshop. The successful candidate will have experience working in the bike industry and will ideally be qualified to Cytech Level 2. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The assembly of new bikes
  • Identifying faults, damage and wear
  • Carrying out minor repairs e.g. repairing punctures
  • Repairing/replacing damaged or worn-out components
  • Wheel truing/building
  • Carrying out routine services and safety checks
  • Cleaning, degreasing and lubricating bicycles and components
  • Advising customers on repairs
  • Estimating costs (labour and parts) and providing customer quotes
  • Booking in bikes for repairs etc
  • Dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice
  • Liaising with suppliers and dealer

We are looking to recruit an individual who has previous retail or customer facing experience and is passionate about the delivery of excellent customer service. 

It is essential that candidates have ski experience (either skiing or snowboarding) and it would be an advantage to have ski boot fitting. Please note that only candidates who are active in skiing/snowboarding will be considered for an interview as it is essential that they are able to talk to our customers about ski and ski related products.

Please note that this is a seasonal position which will end at the end of March/April 2018. However this may be extended for the successful candidate by transferring to the Tiso side of the business during the summer months.

Working in buying/merchandising and looking to take your commercial focus in a digital direction? Successful retail store manager wanting to take the next step into head office? Or a recent graduate with retail experience wanting to jump into a career in ecommerce? You could be exactly what we need!

In this role you will be working closely with both buying and online teams to support the sales growth of the Tiso website. You will do this through the management and trading of product categories, providing sales insight and an in depth understanding of the Tiso ranges which translate to the customer and increase conversion.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the launch of products online including inputting product descriptions and imagery
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers as well as the Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure clear communication throughout the season
  • Regularly reviewing the onsite customer journey
  • Supporting the delivery of online sales targets through the day to day management of stock
  • Monitoring and managing the reviews platform
  • Producing and analysing daily and weekly reports for the Head of Multichannel
  • Supporting the online team in delivering seasonal offers and price amendments across the website
  • Ensuring communication of offers and product promotions from Buyers to relevant online team members
  • Supporting the Buying team in communicating new product launches
  • Working with the Social Media Executive and external bloggers to develop ideas for onside content and social content to support both brand awareness and sales growth
  • Monitoring competitor activity feeding back finding to Head of Multichannel

Technical skills and experience required:

  • Educated in relevant subject or with experience in retail Head Office particularly in Buying or Merchandising/ Ecomm
  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills including Word and Excel; knowledge of Photoshop beneficial but not essential
