We are looking for an organised, methodical and motivated individual to join the Graham Tiso team in our Edinburgh Head Office as a Buying & Merchandising Administration Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive candidate to gain invaluable hands on experience in a fast moving, demanding retail environment.

In this role, you’ll work under the direction of the Buyers for Graham Tiso. 

Your main responsibilities will be administration based and will encompass:

  • Data entry and maintenance
  • Creating Purchase Orders
  • Store stock management
  • Communicating with Suppliers/Stores
  • Dealing with Invoices
  • General administrative duties

The key requirements for this role are:

  • Must be highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills including strong written English
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to meet agreed deadlines and timescales.

Having an interest in the outdoors would be an advantage, although this is not essential.

Tiso Group have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Alpine Bikes & Blues Ski team as an Assistant Merchandiser at their Head Office in Leith, Edinburgh.

Day to day responsibilities will revolve around forecasting and analysing sales and stock across a wide range of products, to ensure that the right stock is in the right place at the right time in order to maximise sales and availability while controlling the overall stock-holding, providing analysis to support decision making within the Commercial Team and working closely with buying, retail management and other functions across the business and also with key suppliers.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Proactive and able to prioritise their workload
  • Able to deal with ad hoc requests as well as ensuring that all their day to day tasks are completed on time to a high standard
  • A strong team player
  • Be able to influence and work productively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Having an interest in the outdoors would be a distinct advantage.

 

Candidates will also need to demonstrate:

 

  • Experience of working at an Allocator/Assistant Merchandiser level
  • High levels of numerical and analytical ability
  • Commercially astute and confident decision making with the ability to communicate across levels
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage own workload
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel
  • Experience of WSSIs, and allocation/replenishment processes, weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting and sales and stock analysis

Perth Outdoor Experience is one of the biggest and busiest technical outdoor stores in the UK. Situated on the gateway to the Highlands the store is fantastically placed for easy access to all Scotland’s mountains have to offer.

We are currently looking to recruit a Supervisor to work in our busy Blues the Ski Shop concession within the store.

As the Blues the Ski Shop Supervisor, you will be working as part of the in-store management team assisting with the day to day running of the store, ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided at all times.

You will be responsible for the Blues element of the store during the main winter trading period and be operating as a Supervisor throughout the store during the summer months.

The successful candidate will be an experienced skier, have good technical product knowledge and boot fitting experience and have previous retail experience, preferably at supervisor/senior sales level.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise your workload, be able to lead and motivate a team and delegate tasks to an agreed time scale. As Supervisor you will also be a key holder for the store and be responsible for the safe opening and closing of the store.

We are looking to recruit a part time Sales Assistant to work in our Ratho store who has previous retail or customer facing experience and who is passionate about climbing/mountaineering and the outdoors. 

There is no requirement for applicants to climb at a particular standard; enthusiasm and commitment are more important.

Please note that this position will involve working both during the week and at weekends.  The successful candidate will also need to have the maturity and self-reliance to work alone during the morning and evening shifts.

As our Ratho store is situated within the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and is open until 10pm on weekdays, the successful applicant will need to have their own means of transport (car or bicycle) as public transport to the centre is intermittent.
