The Slash 8 XT from Trek is an enduro mountain bike that's built for pressing the send button again and again. A mountain bike that rolls on a mixed set-up with a 29˝ front and 27.5˝ rear wheel keeps handling playful. The Slash 8 also comes equipped with a Shimano XT drivetrain for clean shifts no matter where you ride.

It's built on a high-pivot platform with 170 mm, front and rear travel that boosts traction for punchy climb stages and prioritises stability when you point it straight down.

This full-suspension bike will suit you if you want a big bike with big wheels to roll over big things and send big hits. You might enter some enduro races, but you mostly just want to rail sketchy descents faster than anyone else in your crew.

Features:

High-pivot suspension - high main pivot allows the axle to move rearward as the suspension compresses, so the back wheel moves with the force from bumps and gets out of the way faster. On the trail, it feels ultra-smooth while maintaining more momentum with insane traction.
Curb the kickback - oversized upper idler not only eliminates the pedal kickback caused by high pivot, but its size and position also give you just the right amount of anti-squat for efficient pedalling. The lower idler takes chain tension off the derailleur so you get smoother shifting and suspension performance.
Mixed Wheel Size - you get a 29" front wheel for monster truckin' over stuff, with a smaller 27.5" wheel out back for getting rowdy.
Improved internal storage - storage door is bigger, easier to use and the plastic parts are all made from recycled materials
Adjust the suss for full send - adjust the leverage rate with just a flip of a chip. Ride it in the Less progressive setting for a plusher feel perfect for rugged trails with square-edge bumps. Flip it to More progressive when you're hitting big features and don’t want to bottom-out, or when you want to run a coil shock.
