Meindl Men's Bhutan MFS GORE-TEX Walking Boots - Brown Brown - Tiso

After innumerable treks across tracks, trails and mountains, all over the globe, Meindl retired their ever-popular Burma Pro walking boots for this further refined model - the Bhutan MFS.

These walking boots take the familiar sole unit and last from their predecessor to combine that with a streamlined full leather upper and a soft cushioned ankle. Furthermore, this boot takes Meindl's extensive experience of combining high-quality leather uppers with GORE-TEX lining to create a pair of boots that are robust and will keep your feet dry from external wetness whilst moving moisture generated within the boot out with ease. Ideal for tackling Scottish Munro's!

Think Green

We know our customers like to know exactly what they're buying; we're not going to sugar coat it, but we are going to explain it. We've divided up all of the sustainable features we've identified across our product ranges and grouped them into three so you know how your purchase is making an impact: Think Nature, Think Welfare, Think People.

The Meindl Men's Bhutan MFS GORE-TEX Walking Boots - Brown has the following sustainability attributes...

Think Green Logo
  • Responsibly Sourced Leather

Leather production has a significant impact on the planet, using excessive amounts of water and polluting it with harmful chemicals. Certain organisations and producers are making efforts to reduce the environmental impact of leather production on the planet, such as non-profits like the Leather Working Group, who have been auditing the leather manufacturing process from tanneries to retailers since 2005, and Perwanger, a quality leather producer prioritizing the environment

  • Natural Fibres

Products using natural fibres can range from cotton to wool to hemp and silk - but by being naturally made, they will also naturally biodegrade at their end of lifecycle. Even if you have a natural fibre product, it can probably still be recycled or repurposed before being disposed of. However, if it truly has reached the end of its use, natural fibres need air to biodegrade so please don't dispose of them in landfill.

  • Resoling Possible

Keeping our items in circulation for longer is key to reducing environmental impact, and resoling your shoes/boots when the soles start wearing out can help you to hang onto them when there's otherwise a lot of life left in them. This pair can be resoled by the supplier - get in contact with the brand directly to organize a resole, or check out our recommended repair specialists.

  • Local Manufacturing

This brand manufactures over 80% of its products in the country of its headquarters, which has many benefits both for the environment and for workers. Local production means less CO2 emissions, more control over working conditions, and helps to boost the local economy.

These boots are made for walking. They’ve taken me over Scottish, Welsh, English and Alpine mountains. Top class quality and it’s now time to buy some more

Comfortable Boots

Most comfortable walking boots I have ever owned. Now 3 years old and had daily use and feet still dry.

Excellent, high quality footwear.

Bought these a couple of years ago, I've used them for everything from dog walks, snowy hill walks to Skye scrambling. Hands down the best most comfortable boots I've had. Grip is excellent.

There are better boots

Way too stiff for Munro bagging and cause blisters on heels and balls of feet. Never had this problem in > 50 Munros. Also had to have soles sanded down as they were like ice skates. Regret purchasing
