The all-new Crux 5 S-Level 2027 Gravel Bike from Specialized was designed to be the fastest gravel race bike on the market, thanks to a combination of impressive features including its aerodynamics, lightweight form and durable terrain handling. 

Improving upon the Tarmac SL8 bike, the Crux 5 boasts elite aerodynamics, being 15.2 Watts faster for gravel racing. Equipped with SRAM’s latest wireless AXS drivetrain and premium carbon components throughout, the bike offers flawless electronic shifting, powerful hydraulic disc braking, and race-ready efficiency.

Built around Specialized’s incredibly lightweight FACT 12r carbon frame, the Crux delivers explosive acceleration, sharp handling, and exceptional climbing ability while maintaining impressive capability across rough gravel terrain. The Rider First engineering creates a bike that delivers the same unmatched performance of stiffness, compliance and handling in all sizes, including improved balance with shorter stems (in the longer size specific reach), increased confidence at speed with a slacker head angles and that “in the bike” stability that stems from a lower bottom bracket height. Generous tyre clearance allows riders to run wide gravel tyres for added traction and comfort without sacrificing the bike’s fast, responsive feel. It’s designed around performance gravel geometry inspired by cyclocross racing, so it feels agile and reactive rather than ultra-stable and plush.
