A Guide to Scottish Ski Resorts

GuideThe Scottish Ski Resorts

Skiing in Scotland isn't exactly what you'll find in Les Trois Vallées or Zermatt - actually, what you'll find in Scotland is arguably more adventure, accessibility and more affordable options. A playground for ski touring and ski mountaineering, Scotland is also home to five ski resorts suitable for beginners, experts and everyone in between. Staying in the UK for your ski holiday could save you time, air miles and money; and with the current international travel restrictions, it takes that stress away.

We want to inspire you to get out and experience the beauty of skiing in the Scottish mountains. Our guide provides an overview of the Scottish resorts to help you decide which destination is right for you. You will also find links to the resorts live webcams and piste maps.

With easy accessibility from Aviemore by car, taxi, bus or bike (if you can grit through a 17% gradient), this resort is one of the most popular. At 1097m, you will find 12 lifts covering 34 runs with a decent amount of skiing for experts among us - plenty of red runs and a freestyle terrain park. If you want to adventure further afield, there are plenty of backcountry and touring opportunities that are not to be missed.
