History
The birth of Rossignol dates back to 1907 when its founder, Abel Rossignol, created the very first wooden skis inspired by Norwegian models in his Voiron workshop.
Under the leadership of the visionary Laurent Boix-Vives some 50 years later, Rossignol became a world-leading brand in skis and winter sports equipment and today has branched out its range to include a trail running collection, mountain bikes and technical apparel.

Respect Program
Rossignol are aware that all our activities have an impact on the environment around us, and so in 2020 launched their RESPECT program that formalises their social and environmental responsibility approaches.
Some of these initiatives include the Respectful Production program, ensuring 80% of their production takes place within Europe, Rossignol X Fairly Made for better product traceability, Second Hand designed to extend the life of their products, and much more!
