The Pd-R550 SPD SL pedal from Shimano are a great balance between value and lightweight performance. With a resin composite body, these are lightweight and strong without using expensive exotic materials. The same easy clip in and out of all Shimano's SPD pedals, with easy adjustment, and increased durability over the PD-R540 pedals thanks to the metal plate protecting the pedal from wear.
