The North Face's Measuring Tips

Height: measure from the top of your child's head to the floor. Tip: if they stand against the wall you can mark the top point with a pencil and then measure from the mark to the floor.

Arm length: with their arm slightly bent, measure from the base of your child's neck down to elbow then to wrist bone.

Hips: measure just above the widest part of your child's hips, over their bottom. Tip: they should stand with legs close together but not touching.

Chest: measure around the widest part of your child's chest, roughly 2cm underneath the armpits. Tip: don’t pull the tape too tight.

Waist: measure around the narrowest part of the torso at the natural waist. It’s the point at which they bend to the side.

Inseam: measure from the crotch to the floor. You don’t need to follow the outline of their leg; just measure straight up and down.
