The Whyte 905 is an enduring favourite of mountain bikers in the UK and beyond, so no wonder it has so many awards to its name. Not only has it won awards, it's rated one of the "best hard tail mountain bikes" by MBR and MBUK. 

Progressive geometry and a bombproof spec make this bike amazingly fun. The seriously slack 64.5-degree head angle makes for stable handling at speed and capability that you simply would not expect from a hardtail. All the usual features like internal cable routing, threaded bottom bracket and boost spacing are present too.

Front suspension is provided by RockShox in the form of the Pike Select RC. The Pike is a favourite for trail riding with rigid 35mm stanchions for snappy handling, great control from the Charger RC damper and air-sprung adjustability. One of the stand-out spec features of the 905 is its super-wide 27.5 x 2.80" Maxxis tyres. These have more grip than you'll know what to do with and the eat-up trail buzz like nothing you've ever experienced before. Make sure to convert these to tubeless to maximise the floaty fun. 

You can rely on SRAM's NX Eagle drivetrain to get you up the steepest of hills with its massive 50t sprocket that you can just grind away in. No more getting off to push! SRAM also provide their Guide T brakes for reliable stopping power when you get a bit too rowdy. Rounding off the spec we have Whyte's own long travel dropper post, wide bars, and short stem.
