Explore The Men's North Face Jacket Range
Our men's North Face jacket range covers a wide spread of uses and conditions. For wet-weather protection, The North Face's waterproof shells are built for sustained Scottish rain rather than the odd shower, which makes them the sensible pick for hillwalking and commuting. You’ll find the full range in the men’s North Face waterproof jackets collection.
For more demanding alpine and winter conditions, the Summit Series offers more technical, expedition-ready shells, including GORE-TEX® options. Drier, high-output days are better accompanied by our North Face softshells and windproofs, which provide more stretch and breathability, and work well alongside men’s North Face trousers.
If you want something more versatile, 3-in-1 jackets combine a waterproof outer with a zip-in insulated liner, giving you a flexible setup that can see you through autumn, winter and spring. Sorted outwear already? Cosy up with a pair of North Face slippers for when the boots come off.

Men's North Face jacket FAQs
Are North Face jackets waterproof?
Those listed with DryVent™ or GORE-TEX® are, with fully taped seams. Fleece, softshell and most insulated styles are water-repellent only, so they shed showers but wet out in a downpour.
Are North Face coats warm?
Yes, particularly The North Face insulated jackets. Down is warmest for its weight in dry cold, while synthetic keeps working when damp, which makes it the safer pick for a tough winter. A shell on its own has no insulation, so add a fleece or midlayer underneath.
What size North Face jacket should I get?
Most men size as normal, but the technical lines run trimmer and longer in the sleeve. Try it over the fleece you will actually wear, or see our buying guides. Better still, find your nearest store and our staff will check the shoulders, hood and sleeve length with your own layers on.
