Our ambassadors are all individuals who have a strong connection with Tiso, Scotland, and the outdoors. They represent our shared values and inspire others through their own remarkable lives and achievements.

Their role with us is voluntary and we are both grateful for their time and proud of our association.

Mollie Hughes

Mountaineer

Mollie is a double Mount Everest summiteer who has skied unaided to the South Pole. She works as an outdoor adventure professional and is the current President of Scouts Scotland. Mollie also once walked across the Jordanian desert!

Gavin Hastings OBE

Rugby Icon

Gavin is a former Scotland and British & Irish Lions Captain. An exponent of the benefits of sport on health, he actively promotes Scotland and charitable interests on the international stage. Gavin has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro!

Guy Grieve

Outdoorsman

Guy's adventures have included living alone in the Alaskan outback and taking a year out to sail the Atlantic with his young family. He continues to play an active role in the conservation of Scotland’s marine environment. Guy is also a best-selling author!

Craig Mathieson

Polar Explorer

Craig has skied to both Poles and is the Founder of the Polar Academy. An experienced and accomplished explorer, he is now dedicated to helping young people in Scotland through his charitable endeavours. Craig is also a former Royal Navy diver and qualified accountant!

Polly Murray

Skier and Mountaineer

Polly became the first Scottish woman to summit Mount Everest in 2000. She has skied and climbed all over the world but is foremost an ambassador for the Scottish outdoors. Polly has skied off the summit of Denali!

Nick Nairn

Chef

Nick is a well-known and successful chef and restaurateur who has promoted Scottish produce around the world. He is a passionate and experienced hillwalker who regularly presents on the Scottish outdoors. Nick has also won a Michelin star!

Karen Darke MBE

Paralympian

Karen has hand skied across Greenland, hand biked through the Himalayas and climbed El Capitan. She is the author of several books and works as a motivational speaker and coach. Karen has also participated in two Paralympic Games winning silver and gold medals!
