Warehouse Operative/Driver - Tiso Head Office, Leith - Warehouse, Edinburgh, Leith F/T

We are looking to recruit a punctual, reliable and conscientious Warehouse Operative/Driver to work in our large and fast paced warehouse in Leith. This position will involve working in the goods in and goods out areas of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be able to work to tight deadlines and work in an unsupervised environment.

Duties will include picking orders, preparing stock to be sent out, checking off deliveries, putting stock away in the warehouse, stock counts, heavy lifting and stock control. This position includes a certain amount of manual handling therefore the successful candidate will require a good level of health and fitness. As the role will involve driving deliveries to stores, it is essential that the successful candidate has a driving licence.

This position requires you to work from a 5 – 7 day working contract.

Standard working hours are 7am -3.30pm Mon – Thurs (6.00am – 2.30pm on Fridays) where working at the weekend will be required at busy periods.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to bring along their driver’s licence to interview.

Bicycle Mechanic - Alpine Bikes, Aberdeen, Holburn St F/T

Alpine Bikes Aberdeen, located in the West End of the city, are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join their small team.

We are looking for somebody with experience of delivering the highest standards of customer service in a bike workshop and the successful candidate will have experience working in the bike industry and will ideally be qualified to Cytech Level 2. 

The Workshop Mechanic will be responsible for:

  • Daily workshop services as directed by the Store Manager
  • Maintain high quality and quantity of work, service standards, and behavior
  • Carry out the daily running of the workshop 
  • Repair and service customers bikes, this includes the preparation of ex-hire bikes for sale
  • Book in bikes for repairs etc meeting agreed deadlines
  • Estimating costs (labour & parts) and providing customer quotes
  • Dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice for the local area
  • Liaising with suppliers, other stores and Head Office Alpine team
  • Maintaining suitable stock levels for the workshop
  • Maintaining a tidy working environment
  • Maintaining a suitable level of industry knowledge and developments
  • Cover the sales floor as and when required
