About The Stereo 150:
Say one thing for the Stereo 150, say it's fast.
The Stereo platform has been in Cube's line up for a number of seasons, but this year it's really upped its game to become a sought after enduro bike for teaching your local trails a lesson. The C:62 grade carbon fibre frame is the heart of the bike and uses the latest engineering techniques to save weight, increase stiffness, and ride better than ever. A 66 degree head angle keeps handling sharp enough for tight and twisty terrain but slack enough to let it all hang out on open stretches. Internal cable routing keeps things neat and cables protected from the weather while built in armour on the downtube shrugs off roack strikes.
The 4-link suspension design is a proven performer offering a good compromise between pedalling efficiency and downhill prowess. This is helped by the incredible Fox Factory DPX2 which allows you to adjust on the fly between three riding modes to suit the terrain. This shock features a trunnion mount for stiffness, and a piggyback shock that really comes into its own on long, tough descents where it offers more consistent and better damped performance compared to a standard shock. It's matched up front with a 160mm travel Fox Factory 36 fork. Put simply, half of all riders in the Enduro World Series ride this exact fork. It's strong, stiff, plush, tuneable and genuinely top-of-the-range. Suspension performance doesn't get better, but to find these quality components on a bike at this rice is un-heard of.
Fox's Factory Transfer dropper post gives 150mm of slick and easily controlled drop and matches the suspension. A Shimano 1x12 XT drivetrain takes care of shifting while XT 4-pot brakes keep the speed in check (you'll need these!). It's a super reliable setup and one that offers a massive gear range. Newmen might not be a name you're familiar with, but Cube's in-house wheel brand is fast gathering a sterling reputation for reliable and excellent performing wheels. These Evolution rims feature 30mm wide rims which fit the tubeless Schwalbe tyres perfectly to make a nice profile with plenty of volume.
Put it all together, and you have a seriously fast and capable enduro bike. The Stereo isn't a pure racer, but it can turn its hand to the race track with ease. It's also at home on the trails where its lightweight makes epic days in the wild a joy, and its top suspension performance thrives on tough, technical trails. And did we mention the incredible value?
Say one thing about the Stereo 150, say it's awesome.
