Zipp’s Service Course lineup is all about providing options to match every rider with a high-performance, precise fitting bar. The Service Course 70 Ergo packs a powerful punch of everything you’d want in a bar – a design based on feedback from pro bike fitters and pro riders, an ergonomic top section... and top value.
As brake hoods have become longer, handlebar reach has trended shorter to compensate. The days where every rider used a deep, long “Belgian-style” bar are long past. The short reach to the hoods allows a proper fit without compromising stem length and steering control. 70mm of reach has become the default for many bike fitters, and the Service Course 70 Ergo has been updated with the newest features that riders need.
A new variable radius drop, matching the carbon SL-70 Ergo, allows for multiple hand positions when riding in the drops. This provides comfortable hand positions for riders who like to reach down to the drops, as well as for riders who reach in. The ergonomic flat top now has a 3° backsweep for wrist comfort. A 10° ramp angle provides a perfect transition from bars to hoods, and sizes 40cm and up are clip-on compatible. The bar is also drilled to be Di2® RS910 junction compatible, and is available in a Bead Blast Black finish with white logos.
