The Endura Men's Baabaa Blend L/S Baselayer - Kingfisher has the following sustainability attributes...

• Natural Fibres

  Products using natural fibres can range from cotton to wool to hemp and silk - but by being naturally made, they will also naturally biodegrade at their end of lifecycle. Even if you have a natural fibre product, it can probably still be recycled or repurposed before being disposed of. However, if it truly has reached the end of its use, natural fibres need air to biodegrade so please don't dispose of them in landfill.

• PVC & Phthalate Free

  In clothing, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and the additive phthalate, are most used for printing ink on t-shirts. Both have been shown to leach out of an items surface over time, and some phthalates have been shown to be hazardous to human health. Some brands are now requiring screen-printing inks to be PVC and Phthalate free.

• Tree Planting Initiatives

  Your purchase of this product plants trees. A single 10 year old tree can absorb as much as 22kg of carbon each year which we all know is key for tackling climate change, but they also produce oxygen, lower temperatures by creating shade, improve soil quality and provide a habitat for wildlife.

• Ethical Trading Initiative

  This brand partners with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI). The ETI was founded in 1998 and works to improve working conditions in global supply chains by implementing their Base Code of labour practice, which is based on the UN’s International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) standards. They work from nine principles: employment is chosen; freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected; working conditions are safe and hygienic; child labour shall not be used; living wages are paid; working hours are not excessive; no discrimination is practised; regular employment is provided; no harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed. Their remit is vast and cover industries from apparel to food and agriculture.

  This brand partners with ACT. ACT is a collaboration of global brands and ensures people in supply chains are paid a living wage and paid on time. They do this via collective bargaining at industry level, freedom of association and responsible purchasing practices.
