Norrona PureUll 180 Beanie - Indigo Night Blue - Tiso

Product Description

A classic warm and soft wool beanie.

This lightweight wool beanie is designed for general outdoor activities such as skiing, trekking, and mountaineering, and is tight and short enough to wear under a helmet. It has an internal hanging loop, embroidered brand artwork, and flatlock chafe-free seams.

The pureUll180 wool fabric is a medium-weight fabric which uses 18,5-micron merino wool single fibres to regulate your temperature. Pureull is breathable, lightweight, and has natural odour resistance. The material is RWS-certified and feels extremely soft close to the skin. Think Green

We know our customers like to know exactly what they're buying; we're not going to sugar coat it, but we are going to explain it. We've divided up all of the sustainable features we've identified across our product ranges and grouped them into three so you know how your purchase is making an impact: Think Nature, Think Welfare, Think People.

The Norrona PureUll 180 Beanie - Indigo Night has the following sustainability attributes...

Think Green Logo
  • Natural Fibres

Products using natural fibres can range from cotton to wool to hemp and silk - but by being naturally made, they will also naturally biodegrade at their end of lifecycle. Even if you have a natural fibre product, it can probably still be recycled or repurposed before being disposed of. However, if it truly has reached the end of its use, natural fibres need air to biodegrade so please don't dispose of them in landfill.

  • Responsibly Sourced Wool

Natural materials like wool are great sustainable options because they will biodegrade at the end of their lifecycle, however, we must still carefully consider the way in which the wool has been sourced and produced. The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is the most widely established certification for the responsible production of wool, auditing the entire chain of custody from the farm through to the garment manufacturer. Note that not all responsibly sourced wool will be RWS certified.

Find out more about RWS here: https://textileexchange.org/standards/responsible-wool/.
