This Men’s Tres 3-in-1 Parka from Patagonia is ready for any activity, in any kind of weather. With three jacket options in one, this jacket can adapt to the changeable conditions of the day. Cold, wet and dreary days will be a breeze with the waterproof H2No™ Performance Standard 2L outer shell, made from 100% recycled polyester, evading water whilst remaining breathable and comfortable. The insulated inner jacket is filled with 700-fill reclaimed goose and duck down to keep you cosy when the weather has a bite to it. Combine the two jackets together for ultimate warmth on the harshest of days, or wear them separately when the conditions are slightly more forgiving. Both jackets’ shells are treated with a PFC-free durable water repellent to help repel moisture and also any dirt that might find its way onto the fabric.
The outer jacket features a 2-way full zip with storm flap to keep the wind at bay and an adjustable hood that snaps on and off gives extra warmth when it’s needed. The collar is tall and stands up to keep your neck warm, but can also be laid flat to allow air flow when you need to cool down.
The inner jacket has those all-important heat-trapping horizontal baffles to keep you heated in the cold and the hem adjusts with hidden cords so you can lock in that warmth. Zippered hand warmer pockets give plenty of space for essentials, or your hands if they need warming up, and are lined with brushed tricot for a soft touch. Inside, there is a zippered chest pocket for any items you want to keep closer to hand and secure.

Fluorinated DWR finishes make clothing waterproof by repelling water droplets. ‘PFCs’ is the broad term for all fluorocarbon chemicals, of which PFOS and PFOA are sub-groups. Different chemicals in this family have a varying number of carbon atoms, so C6 has six carbon atoms and C8 has eight. While the outdoor industry has moved away from C8 (or 'long chain') PFCs, C6 (short chain) PFCs are currently unbeatable in their waterproofing performance. They're considered less harmful to the environment than C8, but they have not been proven to be safe. PFCs are known as forever chemicals; once created they will never break down and are harmful to people and the planet. To read more about the chemistry related to PFCs, head here.
PFC-Free DWR uses alternative, biodegradable technologies that repels water from the surface of a fabric - such as Fjallraven's Greenland Wax. PFC-Free DWR coatings are water resistant enough for most daily activities, so if you don’t need a highly technical waterproof, consider a PFC-Free garment instead.
Sourcing down or synthetic insulation from post-consumer products makes a very easy solution to the ethical question around virgin down and stops synthetic fibres (aka plastic) from entering landfill. Don’t worry about where it’s been – all recycled down and synthetic insulation is cleaned before being reused in a new product! Buying recycled insulation helps reduce the environmental impact of a new product.
By recycling fabrics, we are not only stopping extra waste heading to landfill but also reducing the need for virgin fabrics to be created. Recycled fabrics can be anything from recycled polyester to recycled cotton and where recycled cotton is used, it's often offcuts from factory floors that would otherwise end up in landfill.

Likewise, for legwear, hips are usually the best size predictor, but if your waist measurement is larger, consider buying the size indicated by your waist. How to Measure
Chest: measure around your chest, just under the armpit.
Arm Length: with the elbow bent, measure from the centre (back) of the neck to the elbow and down to the wrist.
Waist: measure around the waist at the smallest circumference.
Hips: stand, feet together, and measure around the largest circumference at hips.
