Sturdy cyclocross ride with Shimano 105 groupset
Gravel and Cyclocross bikes are certainly becoming the best all-round winners for those who don't have space for multiple bikes for different disciplines. They tend to have everything: great tyre clearance to switch up between grippy and wide off-roaders and narrower road tyres for races or the commute, mudguard and rack capabilities for group rides, commutes or touring, and a sturdy stiff frame for the responsiveness you need when out on the trails. The difference in cost tends to come down to the component quality. Of course, the higher up the price range you go, you step into carbon frame territory, but if you're on a budget you don't need to go that far to get a high quality ride.
With the Cube Cross Race Pro, you get a full Shimano 105 11-speed groupset for an excellent 11-34T range to get you through and over the most difficult terrain. Grippy Schwalbe X-One Allround 700x33c tyres gives you the traction and comfortable ride you're looking for with off-road riding and the full carbon fork will reduce any road buzz when you're back on tarmac for your morning commute.
The difference between gravel bikes and cyclocross bikes tends to come down to the frame geometry and weight. Cyclocross bikes tend to be a bit racier, and the Cross Race Pro is no exception. The Cross Race's brand new frame is a breed apart. Lighter than its predecessor, 12mm thru axles front and rear ensure that stiffness and steering precision are on the money for race-winning control.
This bike is for you if you're wanting a racier all-rounder - a more aggressive position than some others, a stiff and responsive frame but with extremely reliable components that'll get you throught the gnarliest of races.
