About The Rockhopper:
Specialized's Rockhopper offers the perfect blend of value and fit. With decades of data from thousands of bike fits, the new Rockhopper is designed to fit more people, and fit better. Matching the wheel size to certain frame sizes provides the rider with a better fit and more control. Thus sizes XS - M come with 27.5" wheels, and size M - XXL come with 29" wheels. This allows every rider to find more comfort, control and maneuverability when riding.
The Rockhopper is based on a light and strong A1 aluminium frame with a relaxed and confident geometry. With frame mounts to fit bottle cages, mudguards & racks, it's a versatile chassis ideal for riding on road or off. Internal cable routing keeps the lines clean and protects cables from spray and rain, leading to a longer life. Low standover height makes getting on and off easier. All in, it's a thoroughly well-designed frame designed for the long haul.
Fitted with Rockshox's Judy air-sprng suspension fork, the Rockhopper Elite is well equipped for life on the trail. Buttery smooth suspension and steering precision when you need it, and a neat lockout for on the roads. A 1x10 Shimano drivetrain is rugged, simple and offers a wide spread of gears at home on or off road. Matching hydraulic disc brakes keep your speed in check with minimum fuss.
High volume 2.3" tyres add control on rough terrain, plus cushioning & comfort too. With a mixed tread they provide good grip off road while rolling easily on tarmac. Finally, the Rockhopper is finished off with a range of Specialized parts ergonomically designed to provide comfort and efficiency when riding. The saddle, handlebars and grips are all quality items that really set the Rockhopper apart from bikes at a similar price.
