If you frequently feel rubbish during or after your ride, there's a chance it could be because you're dehydrated. The thing is, we lose a lot more than just water when we sweat during exercise so drinking purely water just isn't enough. You need to put back some electrolytes and calories too.

Veloforte's Vivo Energy powder has the same electrolytes, potassium and sodium as their other lines, but has an additional 22g of carbs for an energy boost alongside rehydration. Sports nutritionists recommend taking on board around about 1g of carbohydrate per hour up (though this depends on personal physiology and ride intensity), up to about 60g of carbs per hour. Recommended usage:

Mix a single 24g sachet with 500ml of cold water & shake well. 

500ml 1-2 hours before prolonged or intense exercise

150-200ml immediately before you begin

500-750ml per hour during extended exercise

500ml within 20 minutes of finishing exercise
