This is adventure: redefined. Garmin have re-built the Fenix watch into a totally adaptable and multi-functional device worthy of the hardiest explorers, wildest weekend warriors and all adventure junkies.
The rugged build comes in three dial sizes to better suit your wrist, all of which feature toughened Gorilla Glass 3 to shrug off knocks and scrapes. At three times more damage resistant than the previous model, your Fenix 6 will still be looking great even after the toughest adventures. The crystal clear screen makes use of every millimetre of the display. Multi-satellite sensors ensure you’ll never be caught out, no matter where you travel, while pre-loaded and upgradeable maps allow you to see where you are with pin point accuracy. For true explorers the new ClimbPro widget provides real-time information on current and upcoming climbs, while the Pulse Ox Acclimation sensor assess how well your body adjusts to the thinner air at altitude, a potentially life-saving feature in the greater ranges.
Like it or not, most expeditions start with a lot of training, and the Fenix 6 can be with you right the way through your journey. A built-in heart rate sensor, GPS tracking and innovative training apps help you track, plan and excel in your training. The VO2 Max feature now takes temperature and altitude into account for an accurate reading while PacePro takes both your goals and the terrain into account to better pace your effort. For the runner looking to excel, this is a fantastic feature producing a gold mine of information, but more than that it really helps you plan for big events and races to absolutely excel.
None of these features would be any good without a battery capable of keeping you connected in the wild. Depending on the mode, the Fenix 6 can run up to 48 days, up to 14 days in smartwatch mode, and up to 10 hours using GPS and playing music. Plus Power Manager shows how various settings affect the battery life so you can eke out the longest of run times. Speaking of smartwatch, there’s no reason to keep the Fenix 6 for sports only. Connect to your phone or streaming services to play music (including Spotify & Amazon) using Bluetooth headphones, pay in shops, get notifications, monitor sleep, check your resting heart rate and track a host of other metrics. On board software can even tell you when you are run down and when is ripe to set a new PR.
The Fenix 6 is a true multisport watch capable of tracking running and cycling (including off road variants), swimming, indoor workouts and can access CourseView for details of over 41,000 golf courses worldwide. New on the Fenix 6 is a back-country ski mode which can monitor power, stride length and cadence, besides which you can download resort maps to navigate the best slopes all over the world. Customisable displays mean you can keep the metrics that matter to you on hand and alter each gauge to suit.
For the dedicated athlete and adventurer, the Fenix 6 represents an investment in progress. Better metrics, better planning, better navigation, longer life and more convenient. It’s the one watch to do it all.
