Osprey's Porter pack has all you need for quick getaways and longer trips on the road. Opened up, it's as easy to pack as a conventional suitcase with padded walls and practical storage space. The padded laptop/tablet sleeve is a bonus and can be accessed directly from outside the back without having to go into the main compartment.
Where the Porter really shines is with the stowable rucksack harness. Osprey typically excellent harness system and hipbelt makes carrying your kit a breeze, yet when it's time to hit the road or get your pack on the plane, the whole harness can be easily and quickly zipper away so it doesn't get damaged, and it reduces bulk. The large grab handles make it easy to move around too.
Plenty of pockets mean you can keep your essentials to hand and a neat organiser in the front pocket means you won't have to dig through everything to find your passport. Handy compression straps keep everything tight and reduce the size of the pack when not being used to the max.
