The Mountain Equipment Men's Lightline Jacket - Navy has the following sustainability attributes...
The Down Codex was created by Mountain Equipment in 2009 to independently audit their down supply chain to ensure standards of welfare and quality were met. They include the processing facilities, slaughterhouses, farms and parent farms in their supply chain remit. The four key rules of Down Codex are that virgin down must come from birds which have been humanely slaughtered for the meat industry; there should be no live plucking or live harvesting; birds should not be force-fed; and birds should be raised in good conditions adhering to the Five Freedoms. The Five Freedoms are freedom from hunger and thirst; from discomfort; from pain, injury or disease; to express normal behaviour; and from fear and distress.
