The Specialized Epic Hardtail Comp is built for speed without compromise. It is engineered to be simultaneously as light and as capable as possible because climbing performance shouldn't come at the cost of descending comfort and performance. The FACT 11m carbon frame is tuned to be stiff where it is required for power transfer and compliant where it benefits comfort. The Epic's progressive geometry is closer to that of a trail bike than that of its XC brethren for astoundingly confidence-inspiring handling on steep technical descents.

The SRAM GX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain has more gear range than you're likely to need with a massive 10-52t cassette. The simplicity of the 1x drivetrain means fewer components for lighter weight and fewer points of failure for better reliability. Shifting is crisp and precise, so you'll always be able to put down the power when you need it most. The RockShox Reba RL fork takes care of suspension with 100mm of plush, air-sprung travel. SRAM Level TL brakes are ideally suited to the demands of cross country with their incredibly low weight and reliable performance, in all conditions. 2.35" high volume tyres on 29" wheels provide fantastic grip and great roll-over performance.
