The Trail SE is a truly trail-worthy mountain bike. The robust aluminium frame is built for shredding with its boost dropout spacing and SAVE micro-suspension. It has a sensibly slack head angle of 66.5° for sharp handling on climbs and stability at speed when the trail opens up. It has great rollover capability too with its big 29" wagon wheels and grippy tyres.
The Trail SE 3 comes with a great value spec including a 1x11 Shimano Deore drivetrain for smooth and reliable shifting. There are hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro too for keeping speed under control. You can tune the suspension to your liking with the RockShox Judy air-spring fork. This is a massive upgrade from the SE 4's coil spring fork because it's far smoother and can be adjusted for rider weight and riding style. The WTB Breakout and Trailboss tyres are mounted on WTB STX rims for excellent tubeless compatibility and a great balance of rolling resistance and grip.
If you're wanting to get into mountain biking or upgrade from an entry-level bike, then you can't go wrong with the Trail SE 3.
