The La Sportiva Nepals are comfortable right out the box. With an adjustable fit due to the moveable tongue, the Nepals are fully rigid for ice and a C3 crampon but comfy enough to be in all day. A more flexible boot for year-round use, the R Evo Pro is a perfect boot for quick-movement, alpine activity. With good coverage on the toe round and flexible uppers, we’d call this the all-rounder.

A traditionally-made thick leather boot that’s super tough, but with a bit of flex. The SL Activ boasts a significant heel break to prevent sliding, making it ideal for British winter use. Durable and with memory foam comfort in the upper.
