With its zoned baffles, high-loft goose down and ascent-ready feature set, the Rab Electron Pro Jacket makes mountain-grade warmth and protection packable, portable and flexible.
As part of Rab's Ascent range, the Electron Pro Jacket is designed for winter insulation, alpine climbing and year-round mountain use. The lightweight outer is built from 20D Pertex Quantum Pro ripstop nylon with a DWR coating for improved weatherproofing. Zoned midi and micro baffle stitch-through construction helps minimise bulk, eradicate cold spots and increase core warmth. The ethically-sourced 800FP RDS-certified European goose down is treated with a Nikwax® hydrophobic finish for resilient loft retention. Other key features include stretch-panel cuffs, a helmet-compatible hood with stiffened peak and a pair of harness-friendly YKK® zipped hand pockets.
With its premium down, advanced fabrics, and active fit, our multifunctional Electron Pro Jacket strikes the ideal balance between warmth, weight and mountain utility.

We know our customers like to know exactly what they're buying; we're not going to sugar coat it, but we are going to explain it. We've divided up all of the sustainable features we've identified across our product ranges and grouped them into three so you know how your purchase is making an impact: Think Nature, Think Welfare, Think People.
The Rab Men's Electron Pro Jacket - Beluga has the following sustainability attributes...
Carbon Neutral or Climate Neutral brands have been third party verified as reducing their carbon footprint, often balancing their remaining emissions with carbon credits to support projects that are combating the climate emergency.
By recycling fabrics, we are not only stopping extra waste heading to landfill but also reducing the need for virgin fabrics to be created. Recycled fabrics can be anything from recycled polyester to recycled cotton and where recycled cotton is used, it's often offcuts from factory floors that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Sometimes using animal products can be a more sustainable alternative than using non-biodegradable plastic, but it is imperative that an animal’s welfare is respected. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) was started by The North Face, Textile Exchange, Allied Feather Down and Control Union. RDS down cannot come from farms that engage in force feeding or live plucking and they must respect the Five Freedoms of animal welfare: freedom from hunger and thirst; from discomfort; from pain, injury or disease; to express normal behaviour; and from fear and distress. Parent farm (the farm where the birds are kept for producing eggs) certification is optional unless the down is harvested there. RDS down is traceable back to source via Track My Down.
Find out more about RDS here: https://textileexchange.org/standards/responsible-down/.This brand partners with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). The Fair Wear Foundation is a clothing industry specific, non-profit organization that ensures sustainable, fair and safe labour conditions in factories. They work directly with brands, factories, trade unions, NGOs and governments to establish a living wage and a working environment that’s free from gender-based violence, discrimination and harassment. There is emphasis on a brand’s business practices and how this can make direct sustainable change, alongside factory audits and worker interviews.

Chest: measure around the fullest part of the chest with your arms down. Usually just under the pits.
