Introduction to rivers for Paddle Boarders

Paddle Boarding is currently the fastest growing area of paddlesports in Bothe the UK and USA and it is easy to understand why. Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is hugely versatile, from lazy days spent on lochs to take in the sights to tackling raids on rivers, these water craft can do it all.

On this full day experience we will take to the rivers of Scotland to show you how to paddle board on moving water - our favourite venue for SUP! This day will give you the skills to go out and have fun on the river whilst keeping safe.

This course covers the following topics

• Venue Choice - river grading, river levels and weather forecasts
• Board set up - inflation, fins and leashes.
• Introduction to rivers features
• Introduction to river techniques - breaking in and out, ferry gliding
• River safety and paddling in groups
• River rescue techniques

Ratio: 1 Instructor to 6 participants

Cost: £80.00 per person
